I have a Schott PS 13316-10 72v charger, which I've been asked to "help". This unit is from a golf-cart, obtained for a disabled Vietnam veteran, so that he could achieve some mobility around the farm where he lives. Unfortunately, the condition of the cart was...er... "misrepresented" just a bit, as later stories tell me that it may have had the battery supply connected in reverse (yeah, that's what I said, too!) I'm in the commercial fire alarm business but do have an electronics background; unfortunately, switcher ps's are not my forte'.
Internally, this one shows NO obvious burns or damage, both fuses are intact (of course), but one electrolytic cap IS bulged, so that jumped out at me.
ANY assistance you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated, as I stand to make NO money from assisting my brother v/n vet. We'd just like to help him enjoy his surroundings , aside from staring out the window.
Respectfully, and THANKS - Tom Dailey - former US Navy
