Saflok saflok part 73400


Hi, I am using Saflok 73400 encoder with 71901 keypad at 60 room motel.
Suddenly, today, when I try to make a new key for guest I keep getting "defective keycard" message. Even though I try again with brand new card, I get same message. I tried cleaning the encoder, unplugged and plugged again, but no success. How can it be fixed?
