#SMWAccuSmart60 Hello, we have an accu-smart 60 installed on a fryer mc-40 vertical milling machine with a ge-fanuc series 21i-mb controller. Everything was working the way it should until we shut the machine down to have a tech from Fryer install door locks. After the door locks were installed & verified they were working correctly we started to run production. While the machine was drilling the indexer suddenly indexed when it wasn't suppose to. I looked at the schematic for the door locks & the actual wiring to compare them. The locks were wired to the schematic. I was told that by entering M11 & pushing cycle start that the indexer would index, which it did. After the indexer stops you reenter M11 & it should index again, which it won't. In order to index the indexer again we have to push reset, enter M11 & push cycle start & it will index again. The operator told me he never had to push reset to get the indexer to index again. Everytime he indexes the indexer, before the door locks were installed, he just keeps entering M11 & cycle start. Now after indexing the indexer he has to push reset. Looking in the accu-smart manual under maintenance, symptom # 1, "control will not accept m-code signals". It states that parameter "08" must be set at 0 or 1. If it is set at 2 the remote start will be disabled. The problem I have is that I believe I need a laptop to do this, am I correct about the laptop ? The program engineer verified that the program in the Fryer is correct.
