Part:transformer --- Transformer secondary is burned--all other parts seem to be ok---weed cutter module works---primary winding checks good for continuity. My Dad had three of these model 57's over the years---the one I am looking to repair is the latest one---SN 23566.
All three have what appears to be a scorched transformer. He lived on a hill in Northeast Texas and got a lot of lightning when thunderstorms came over. How much would a transformer cost---if available ? I am a pretty good "fixer"---I could even take the transformer apart and replace the secondary if that is available separately (probably not).
