I have an Arcom Control Systems SBC-GX1 inside of a Frick Quantum LX Compressor. We have three compressors with identical configurations. Recently, we have run into an issue where all three controllers are outputting a communications error to our PLC. This has all happened at the same time and we can reboot all three systems and they will have connectivity for around a minute before they start sporadically start throwing comm errors. In some cases, we can still read live values and ping the controller while it is outputting a comms error before it completely drops the connection and can no longer be pinged.
We have multiple systems running on our PLC network card and they run flawlessly with zero dropouts. It is only the Arcom controllers that are unable to hold a stable connection.
Is this a common occurrence with this model of controller? I am currently looking at the Arcom controllers as being faulty rather than the PLC network card as there are zero errors to tell us the network card is failing.
